Overview

Project overview

Tailoring a CV for every application is slow and repetitive. This tool reads a job post and runs four agents in sequence: one extracts must-have skills and ATS keywords, one scores the candidate against the role and lists the gaps, one rewrites the CV for that role, and one drafts a personalised cover letter. We extended an open-source version of this project with a provider-agnostic AI layer, application history, PDF export, Docker support and a full test suite.

01 / Challenge

The challenge

Job seekers need a tailored CV and cover letter for each role, but doing it by hand takes time and keyword matching for applicant tracking systems is easy to get wrong.

02 / Approach

Our approach

We broke the task into four focused agents so each step is easier to test and improve, and made the AI layer provider-agnostic so it can run on Gemini or DeepSeek without code changes.

03 / Solution

The solution

A Python application with a clean, responsive interface showing match scores and skill gaps, one-click PDF and DOCX downloads, application history stored in SQLite, Docker support and a 28-test pytest suite running in CI with a fake LLM client.
